This past week as I was getting ready for a weekend camping trip, I came across a Missouri wine brochure from 2003. How far has Missouri come? Here are some stats to consider.
In 2003:
• 47 wineries
• 3,625,000 bottles of wine sold
• over 1,100 acres of grapes
• $26 million in wine sales
10 years later, in 2013:
• 167 wineries
• 393 vineyards
• Over 1,600 acres of wine grapes
Where will Missouri wine be in 10 more years?
