One of our winery friends and clients, Thousand Oaks Winery, near Perryville, Missouri is having a special dinner on Friday, July 19. We are already booked that weekend, but have been to several of their dinners and they are awesome! Great wine, food cooked in their awesome pizza oven and we loved getting to know new people at their dinners.

Here is a peak at the menu for their Enchanted Dinner:

Salad:
Spring Greens, Spinach, Mandarin Oranges, Strawberries,
Bacon, Glazed Pecans and Raspberry Vinaigrette

Entré:
Wine: Autumn Morning (Chardonel)
Apple Wood Smoked Pork
Sesame Asparagus
Au Gratin Potato Casserole
Herb Butter and Rolls

For a full menu and reservations visit their website: Thousand Oaks Winery

We really love their lake view:

The lake is so peaceful

The nice thing about this small family owned winery, is there are spots that you can wander off to. There is a dock and a trail through the woods that goes to the vineyards.

My husband and I usually split a bottle of their Indian Summer (Chambourcin) although I also love their Decompression wine, which is a smooth full bodied dry Norton with hints of pepper and spice.
