The number of Missouri wineries has increased from 42 to 118 in 10 years, according to Danene Beedle of the Missouri Wine and Grape Board. The number of U.S. wineries in 2012 was about 7,000. The increase has created 14,051 full-time jobs and $42.4 million dollars in revenue. The Missouri Wine and Grape Board estimates that 850,000 people visit Missouri wineries a year.
